Class of 1963 Holds 40th Reunion

On August 9, 2003, the John Adams High School Class of 1963 gathered for its 40th reunion at the South Bend Country Club. Of the 344 classmates, about 85 met for this year's gathering. The dinner and dance started about 6:30 but many arrived early, and many were still there when this reporter had to leave at midnight.
A nice directory was produced and handed out. The handsome cover design came from Judy Shook, Dennis Rose and Tom Zoss put together the directory (with tons of help locating classmates from the committee members - especially Sue Shanafelt), with classmate updates compiled by Nancy Ries Morrison. Photo name badges using the old "Album" graduation portraits were made by Mike Chamberlin.
Members of the 40th Reunion Committee were: Carol (Cseh) Bloom, Mike Chamberlin, Penny (Meyers) Churchill, Don Degroff, Lennie Gentner, Mike Griffee, Katie Humphreys, Cheryl (Heim) Little, Nancy (Ries) Morrison, Steve Nelson, Carol (Gardner) Rose, Dennis Rose, Sue Shanafelt, Mike Teeter, and Tom Zoss.
